More Than Massage: Why I Believe Your Body Deserves to Be Met Where It Is

One of the things I love most about the work I do is that no two sessions are ever exactly the same.

You don’t arrive in the same body every time you walk through my door.

Some days you’re carrying tension in your shoulders or aching through your hips. Sometimes you’re exhausted and your nervous system feels like it hasn’t stopped running in weeks. You may be moving through pregnancy, postpartum changes, perimenopause, grief, a stressful season of life—or you may simply know that you need time to slow down and come back to yourself.

That’s why I don’t believe massage should be one-size-fits-all.

My work is rooted in therapeutic massage and bodywork, but a session with me may also include warm stones, aromatherapy, Acutonics tuning forks and sound healing, gentle energy work, or an intuitive ritual or affirmation. I draw from what I know and what I notice, while always listening to what your body needs that day.

Sometimes we work deeply with an area that’s been bothering you.

Sometimes the most therapeutic thing we can do is help your whole system soften.

And sometimes you simply need 90 minutes in which nobody needs anything from you.

Your body is allowed to change. And your care can change with it.

I especially love working with women through the many seasons of our lives—from pregnancy and postpartum to hormonal shifts and perimenopause, and all the transitions in between.

There is so much wisdom in the body. My job isn’t to force it into doing something. My work is about creating the conditions for you to settle, receive, reconnect and feel more at home in yourself.

That’s what I mean when I say my sessions are more than just a massage.

They’re still massage—beautiful, therapeutic, hands-on massage—but they’re also an experience created around YOU.
